Our organisation helps families build healthier relationships with gaming. We are looking for Speech Therapists to work with young gamers.

This is a unique role where an understanding of gaming culture can be a valuable asset. While being a gamer isn’t essential, familiarity with gaming can help build rapport, foster trust, and enhance therapeutic outcomes with our client base.

About the Position

The Speech Therapist will provide support to young people ages 8+ across all programs that GameAware provides.

Responsibilities

Deliver evidence-informed therapy services to children and young people (ages 8+) with developmental and communication needs, integrating gaming culture into therapeutic engagement.

Conduct assessments and design tailored intervention plans that reflect each child's unique developmental goals.

Collaborate with families, caregivers, and our existing interdisciplinary team (Occupational Therapists & Psychologists) to support positive behaviour change at home.

Maintain compliance with NDIS standards, preparing detailed, goal-oriented reports that reflect progress and inform ongoing supports when required as per NDIS guidelines.

Qualifications

Previous experience with handling caseloads.

Current registration with Speech Pathology Australia.

Working with Children Check and National Police Check.

Strong understanding of gaming culture, excellent communication, and ability to foster a supportive environment.
