About the role

As a Support Worker with 121 Supports Hunter PTY LTD, you'll play a vital role in empowering and supporting individuals within the disability and mental health community in Newcastle. This is a casual position that offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you support. 24/7 supports available.

What you'll be doing

Providing personalised, support with a range of needs, including personal care, meal preparation, transportation, and social engagement

Assisting people we support with activities of daily living to promote their independence, health, and wellbeing

Actively engaging people we support in recreational and social activities

Documenting progress and maintaining detailed records in accordance with company policies and relevant regulations

Collaborating with the broader support team to ensure a coordinated and holistic approach to individual support needs

What we're looking for

Lived or professional experience is essential

A genuine passion for supporting and empowering individuals

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships

Patience, empathy, and a commitment to promoting the dignity and independence of those you support

Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent is valued

A valid driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle essential

Experince working in Supported Independent Living will be highly valued
