Disability Service Coordinator - Sydney Community Services
Full time role to oversee the operations of the disability portfolio of supports
We anticipate a start date of 1 September 2025
SCHADS level 4
Exciting opportunity to work with participants
Fulltime position – 38 hours per week – Monday to Friday with no weekend work
Location: Lane Cove, Hunters Hill and Ryde areas
About the Organisation
Sydney Community Services is a registered NDIS provider delivering community participation and in home support across Lane Cove, Hunters Hill and Ryde areas in Sydney. The role of the Disability Service Co-ordinator is to oversee the day-to-day operations of all disability programs to ensure a high quality of person centre support is delivered to participants
Key Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Disability Service Coordinator are as follows
· Oversee service delivery and the implementation of individual participants’ NDIS plan.
· Proactively manage and maintain effective relationships with participants, their families and other supporting stakeholders.
· Drive workforce management and provide effective management and leadership.
· Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures as well as regulatory and funding bodies.
· Effectively manage complaints, feedback, incidents, investigations and risks.
· Work collaboratively with enabling functions to proactively manage the facilities, assets, financial performance and budget and Work Health and Safety
· Work directly with participants if required, in the evenings during the week.
About you:
· Demonstrated experience in managing services within the disability sector or similar organisation.
· Knowledge of NDIS Framework and compliance requirements under the Disability Quality and Safeguards Commission.
· Experience in managing workforce issues including supervision, coaching and mentoring.
· Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with families and circles of care.
· Organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks
· Proficient computer literacy skills and experience with Client Management systems
· Understanding of the business and financial drivers of a disability service and apply them.
· Experience in incident management and reporting
· Experience delivering outcomes and working with KPIs.
· A current Driver's Licence (non-negotiable)
