About the role
This is a hands-on role for a practical and experienced technician with a strong background in both electrical and mechanical systems. You will be involved across a range of activities, including manufacturing, R&D projects, and general workshop & building operations. As a senior team member, you will also take responsibility for the delivery of production work, ensuring quality and timelines are met. You will mentor junior technicians, support training activities, and provide technical leadership within the team to help drive continuous improvement and maintain high standards.
What you'll be doing
Aid in the production of complex electro-mechanical systems.
Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies.
Perform quality assurance checks and complete documents for product sign off.
Maintaining safe and organised working environment.
Assist in the maintenance and tracking of project schedules, budgets, and documentation.
What we're looking for
A hands-on technician with solid electrical and mechanical experience, confident working across manufacturing, R&D, and general workshop or building activities.
Someone who demonstrates high integrity when handling sensitive information, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks accurately and efficiently.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the professionalism to engage with stakeholders at all levels and proactively resolve issues.
A team player who can also work independently, comfortable taking on physically demanding tasks and not afraid to get their hands dirty.
Analytical and adaptable, with a proactive mindset and the ability to diagnose technical problems and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience at a technician level in manufacturing business.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials selection and manufacturing processes.
Extensive hands-on experience gained through practical roles in production, research projects, and general workshop operations.
