Condabri Beef (Drury Farming Company Pty Ltd) is a family-owned and operated company grounded in strong cultural values. We are an integrated agribusiness encompassing Feedlot, Backgrounding, Logistics, and Farming enterprises, committed to sustainable and ethical practices. Our operations are located 18 km from Miles and 25 km from Condamine, providing a strategic rural location within the region.

Purpose

With the completion of our newly expanded, industry-leading facility, Condabri Beef is expanding its 35,000-head feedlot operations livestock team and seeking experienced, motivated livestock hands to join our growing team. We’re looking for proactive and positive individuals who are passionate about cattle, eager to learn, and excited to contribute to a thriving, family-owned organisation.

Key Responsibilities but not limited to:

Perform daily livestock and pen movements using low-stress stock handling techniques

Conduct daily pen riding and provide hospital treatment to cattle as needed

Monitor and maintain the health of cattle and horses in the feedlot, adhering to QA standards and company procedures

Manage induction and drafting of all livestock, ensuring data accuracy, quality, and animal welfare

Oversee the arrival and dispatch of livestock

Maintain effective daily communication and coordination with the Feedmill, Maintenance, Office, and Logistics teams

Ideal Skillset

The following skills and attributes are essential for this role:

Availability to work a 10/4 roster (10 days on, 4 days off)

A current driver’s licence and reliable transport

Ownership of two suitable working horses, fully vaccinated for Hendra

Solid horsemanship background with proven, hands-on experience in handling, training, and caring for horses

Demonstrated livestock handling skills and sound knowledge of animal behaviour in a feedlot environment

Physically fit and capable of performing manual handling and other physically demanding tasks

Additional desirable skills and attributes:

Ability to work effectively in a diverse team environment

Experience using Elynx programs, including StockAid and FY3000 (an advantage)

Strong commitment to safety, animal welfare, and biosecurity protocols
