The Bistro & Functions Manager at is responsible for the leadership, supervision, and execution of all food and beverage operations at our McBride venue. This includes strategic planning, service delivery, compliance, stock and financial control, and team management to ensure an exceptional customer experience.

The role is integral to maintaining and growing a high-quality hospitality service for members, guests, and the broader community of Wonthaggi, while ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and the strategic goals of Wonthaggi Country Club.

Bistro Management:

· Oversee daily operations of the Bistro, including staff supervision, training, and coaching.

· Hands-on involvement in Bistro activities, ensuring smooth and efficient service.

· Advise on rostering, and manage staffing levels.

· Inventory, and system design, and continuous improvement.

· Provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive, engaging atmosphere.

Functions Management

· Coordinate all aspects of functions and events, from initial setup to pack-down.

· Liaise with clients to understand their needs and ensure events run smoothly.

· Market and promote the Club’s facilities, services and experiences we offer.

· Develop new leads for functions and event space.

· Organise functions and events, managing requirements and logistics.

· Connect with the community to market and promote Wonthaggi Country Club's offerings.
