We are a Golf Club in the Eastern Suburbs looking for an experienced Chef De Partie in our busy club environment. We cater mainly for weddings, corporate functions and celebrations. We also have a busy club bistro which you will be required to work in.

The ideal candidate will have following:

Reliable and Flexible with hours. Will be required to work on Sunday & Monday.

Previous experience in a sports club bistro or restaurant environment

Must have successfully completed Certificate 3 or higher in Commercial Cookery

Commercial cookery and food safety supervisor

Passion for food. Keep up to date with new trends

Work autonomously

Cool under pressure

The ability to organise preparation and workflow in a small team

Strong hygiene focus and communication skills

Must have a valid working visa

Have knowledge of Food Handling and Food Safety procedures

Previously held a Chef De Partie position or above for a minimum of 2 years in a busy kitchen. Golf Club experience preferred but not necessary.

Job tasks include:

Preparing various food items as per the menu

Prepare daily production list

Planning menus,

Estimating food cost, ordering food supplies, receiving, and checking stock to ensure suitable for use.

Guiding and giving direction to other kitchen staff

Ensure all recipes, food preparations and presentations meet the business specification and commitment to quality.

Ensure that all station remain stocked before and during the working period.

verify other staff follow all recipes and portion servings correctly

Ensuring proper sanitization of working stations, storage area and entire kitchen area.

Places food and supplies orders as directed.

Train kitchen staff and junior staff.

Organize kitchen meeting to discuss various problem and provide solutions

Managing staff level in the kitchen area
