About the role

We're on the hunt for a skilled and passionate Sous Chef to join our busy café team in Lindfield!

We serve breakfast and lunch only – so enjoy your evenings off with no night shifts. Located directly opposite Lindfield Train Station, with plenty of street parking nearby, our venue is high-volume, fast-paced, and quality-driven.

What we’re looking for:

Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Sous Chef in a busy kitchen

Strong leadership and communication skills

Ability to work independently and support the Head Chef

Confident with managing prep, service, and kitchen operations

Available for flexible shifts across 7 days

What you'll be doing

Overseeing all kitchen operations and staff in the absence of the Head Chef

Preparing and cooking a wide variety of fresh, high-quality cafe dishes

Ensuring consistent food quality and presentation

Assisting with menu planning and recipe development

Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment

Supervising and training junior kitchen staff

Ordering and managing stock and inventory
