The Role

As a Chef & Kitchen Manager, it will be your task to prepare a variety of takeaway sandwiches, takeaway breakfast and lunch meals. In addition to leading your cafe team of cafe all rounders and baristas, you are also required to take care of your pantry/ produce, ordering, food wastage and health and safety practices. Hours required: 5 days between Monday - Sunday (6am-2pm). This is a new to industry cafe - hours to be adjusted if necessary.

We are looking for a quality and talented Chef to join our team full-time. Renumeration package will be competitive and above 2023 Award Rate. As a Chef at Drive Cafe, you will need the following experience and attributes:

Required start date Monday 28th July 2025

2+ years relevant experience in the industry

Knowledge around different cuisines, take-away food and innovative sandwiches

Worked in fast paced cafe, or similar environment

Good organisation and the ability to train junior staff

An understanding of HACCP and hygiene practices

Good communication skills, attitude and be a team player

Knowledge around stocktake ordering food and wage costs
