About the role
MSS Security is seeking a driven Control Room Supervisor to join our team at Monash University. In this role, you will be part of a team supporting multiple Monash sites and a security team of 130 officers.

Take the lead in overseeing Control Room operations with a team of 13 and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to the Monash University community.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the control room, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
• Lead and guide a team of control room operators, maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism.
• Coordinate emergency response activities and ensure timely action.
• Carry out investigations on incidents and create relevant reports.
• Enforcing up to date Site Standing Orders and communicating changes of policy, procedures, and operating requirements.
• Provide coaching, training, and support to the control room team to maintain operational excellence.
• Ensuring that all incidents are reported through the correct channels and the appropriate actions are taken.
• Ensuring weekly and / or monthly KPIs are achieved and reported.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Experience in using Milestone CCTV, Inner Range/Infiniti Security System and resolver reporting system would be preferable.
• Strong understanding of various CCTV, access control systems and investigation report writing.
• Proven experience working in a security control room.
• Proven experience in team management.

Requirements:

• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Security licence with control room subcategory
• Full Australian working rights
• Working with children check (or willing to obtain)
• Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
