About the role
MSS Security is seeking a driven Control Room Supervisor to join our team at Monash University. In this role, you will be part of a team supporting multiple Monash sites and a security team of 130 officers.
Take the lead in overseeing Control Room operations with a team of 13 and play a key role in delivering exceptional service to the Monash University community.
Key responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the control room, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Lead and guide a team of control room operators, maintaining high standards of performance and professionalism.
- Coordinate emergency response activities and ensure timely action.
- Carry out investigations on incidents and create relevant reports.
- Enforcing up to date Site Standing Orders and communicating changes of policy, procedures, and operating requirements.
- Provide coaching, training, and support to the control room team to maintain operational excellence.
- Ensuring that all incidents are reported through the correct channels and the appropriate actions are taken.
- Ensuring weekly and / or monthly KPIs are achieved and reported.
Ideal candidates will have:
- Experience in using Milestone CCTV, Inner Range/Infiniti Security System and resolver reporting system would be preferable.
- Strong understanding of various CCTV, access control systems and investigation report writing.
- Proven experience working in a security control room.
- Proven experience in team management.
Requirements:
- Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
- Security licence with control room subcategory
- Full Australian working rights
- Working with children check (or willing to obtain)
- Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain)
- Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
