About the role

MSS Security is seeking reliable and professional Control Room Operators to join our team at the University of Melbourne. This is a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where you'll monitor systems, coordinate responses, and help ensure campus safety. Your duties include and are not limited to:

• Monitoring surveillance systems and reviewing CCTV footage
• Communicating efficiently with the security team and emergency services
• Overseeing access control and visitor management
• Responding to emergencies with confidence and precision
• Responding to emergencies and coordinating real-time incident management with confidence and precision
  
  
  

Skills & experience

• Full Australian working rights
• Victorian Security Licence with Control Room Endorsement
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations
• Proven experience working in a control room environment
• A current First Aid and CPR certificate
• Availability to work a 24/7 rotating roster
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and quick decision-making skills under pressure
• A proactive mindset and a strong passion for safety and security
