Due to the internal promotion of their current Despatch Team Leader, our client is now looking for a natural successor to manage their Despatch Operations, along with a small Despatch Team including a Driver, Assembly Person, Picker/Packer/Wrapper and a Despatch Coordinator

On a daily basis your duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Lead, mentor, and manage the despatch team.
• Coordinate daily despatch operations, including the scheduling and tracking of shipments.
• Coordinate movements between subcontractors and QC returns before returning the components to the job build.
• Resolve any issues or discrepancies related to dispatch and deliveries in a timely manner.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

It is envisaged that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate most or all of the following skills and experience.

• Proven abilities in a despatch role, with at least [2] years experience in a similar position.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Proficient in using despatch and logistics software and documentation.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• You can read and understand mechanical drawings and diagrams.
• You are well organised and possess the ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• You hold clean drivers and forklift licences. A Medium Rigid Truck licence would be ideal, but the company is prepared to arrange this for the right candidate.
• Experience in a manufacturing background is essential, with sheet metal fabrication experience a distinct advantage, but not essential.
