Tallebudgera Surf Lifesaving Supporters Association Inc. in Palm Beach, QLD, is currently seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our dynamic team. The successful applicant will have a genuine passion for the industry and a love of cooking. This is a hands-on role that requires attention to detail and a positive work attitude. This is a full-time position offering a 38-hour work week, with two days off per week.

Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

Preparing and cooking dishes in an efficient time frame and monitoring their quality /presentation

Preparing ingredients and ensure they are freeze and preserve correctly

Ensuring adequacy of supplies at the cooking stations

Working at all sections of the kitchen & assist where required

Following the production of high quality food according to menu guidelines & recipe cards

Planning menus and specials

Co-operation with other staff and advise on cooking procedures if/when necessary and

demonstrate on relevant techniques, work harmoniously within the team and raise any concerns

with management to seek a solution

Ordering necessary items from our used suppliers and estimate food/labour costs

Ensuring all stock received is checked against invoices, signed & dated & forwarded to accounts

for payment in a timely manner

Addressing meal complaints in a cooperative and prompt manner

Maintaining high quality health and safety standards

Assisting in recruiting kitchen staff if/when required

Training staff as required and monitor their progress to ensure quality of dishes / presentation is

of high standard

Reporting faulty plant & kitchen equipment to management

Any other task as required

Applicants must possess a relevant diploma qualification and at least 2 years of experience in a similar role.

The annual salary on offer ranges between $70,000 - $80,000, depending on skills, experience and qualifications, plus superannuation.
