In recent years, they’ve made significant investments in modernising their operations, building a custom CRM, refining internal workflows, and streamlining digital systems. They’re now entering an exciting growth phase, with a clear focus on professionalising their operations and expanding into new commercial markets.

About the Role

As Business Manager, you’ll lead day-to-day operations, support team performance, and drive the company’s strategic direction forward. You’ll report directly to the business owners and work across:

Dispatch, scheduling, service delivery, and workflow coordination.

Managing and mentoring two operations managers, office/admin staff, and accounts.

Monitoring cost ratios, labour spend, repair budgets, and other key KPIs.

Enforcing standard procedures, team accountability, and reporting practices.

Leading systems and task improvements, including WHS and compliance.

Supporting business development and market expansion, especially in commercial services.

This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Canberra.

About You

You’re an adaptable, confident operator with a strong background in service-based, fleet-heavy, or trade-related industries. Whether you're on the tools, a Site Manager, Foreman, Operations Supervisor, Depot Manager, or leading crews in construction, logistics, waste, or field services, if you're ready to step into a broader leadership role, we want to hear from you.

You bring:

Experience managing operations in construction, logistics, waste, civil or similar fields.

A clear leadership style that builds structure, sets expectations, and drives results.

Proficiency in Excel, job tracking, scheduling tools, and CRMs.

Financial literacy, able to monitor and interpret business performance metrics.

A current driver’s licence and a presence-oriented leadership approach.

Bonus if you’ve worked in waste or construction logistics or introduced new systems into operational teams.
