To support this momentum, they’re seeking an experienced Food Technologist with a strong background in chilled or ready-to-serve categories to help lead product innovation, improve existing recipes, and align processes across multiple sites.

About the Role:

As Food Technologist, you'll take the lead in product development and play a strategic role in driving innovation, quality, and process optimisation.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing and refining chilled, ready-to-serve products from concept through to commercialisation
• Identifying opportunities for NPD and EPD within existing and adjacent chilled categories
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, QA, production, and procurement
• Supporting technical integration and process alignment across newly acquired sites or product lines
• Ensuring compliance with food safety standards, shelf-life requirements, and retailer expectations
• Staying on top of market trends, consumer preferences, and competitor activity to fuel innovation
• Partnering with major retail customers on product briefs and development timelines

About You: To be successful, you will bring:

• 7+ years' experience in a Food Technologist or Product Development role
• Proven track record in chilled convenience or ready-to-eat categories
• Strong commercial acumen and experience working with major Australian retailers
• A hands-on approach and confidence in taking products from bench to launch
• Excellent stakeholder communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
• A relevant qualification in Food Science, Technology, or a related field
