About the Role
Are you ready to make a difference by helping shape positive governance, risk and compliance culture and capability? In this role, you will advise and guide application of Service NSW's governance and risk management frameworks to support important organisational and government priorities. You will be supporting the climate change program of work for Service NSW. You will develop and define our approach, work with teams and entities across Service NSW to operationalise our approach, and assist with interpreting incoming policy/legislative changes in the climate change space. A key focus of this role will be working closely with stakeholders across the organisation to advise and support their adherence and embedding of the requirements, and contributing to organisation-wide forums.
This is a great opportunity for someone wanting to make a positive impact and drive change in the climate change space within the public sector. It will require proactive engagement with executive leaders, directors and managers across Service NSW.
Responsibilities:
- Lead climate-related financial disclosure reporting for Service NSW
- Develop, manage and ensure timely delivery of a work program that prepares Service NSW for climate-related financial disclosure reporting and drives climate change uplift across the organisation
- Facilitate the identification, assessment and management of general and climate-related risks across Service NSW
- Develop, implement and enhance governance and risk management frameworks
- Provide general risk advice, guidance and support to business stakeholders
- Prepare briefings, reports and updates on risk and climate change initiatives and progress.
About You:
You will have strong, demonstrable experience in climate change management within a risk management, governance and/or compliance capacity. You are well-versed in climate-related risk assessments, capability building, and embedding risk considerations into decision-making processes. You understand the current regulatory requirements relating to climate change adaptation, mitigation and climate-related financial disclosures. You will harness your experience to engage more productively with stakeholders of differing maturity levels and needs. With strong project management abilities, you will confidently manage multiple priorities as well as business-as-usual requirements.
