Qualified Metal Fabricator needed

We are a successful, small family run engineering business servicing Strathalbyn (South Australia) and surrounding districts since 1992, supporting all areas with metal fabrication and maintenance, including but not limited to, the Building and Construction, Transport and Agricultural industries.

JOB DESCRIPTION - POSITION: WELDER, FABRICATOR, MACHINIST, FITTER

The position is predominantly workshop based and located in Strathalbyn.

Employment type: Full-time

Award: Engineering Tradesperson/Metal Fabrication Qualification (or currently completing apprenticeship) (above award wages will be paid)

Desirable skills & abilities:

· Welding experience in mig, tig & stick desirable

· Experience with the use of power and hand tools

· Experience operating workshop machinery desirable, eg lathe, press brake, drill press, folding machine,

· Forklift licence (desirable)

· Willingness to assist with unloading and loading of incoming and outgoing goods

· Willingness to assist other workers when required

· Willingness to serve customers, or assist, in a kindly, efficient and timely manner

· Ability to keep work areas organised and tidy

· Other duties as required

· Understanding of WHS requirements or strong ability to follow instruction

· Ability to continuously ensure optimum safety, efficiency & quality

· Criminal History Check will be required. Supplied by applicant before commencement of work.
