About the Role:
This firm allows you to specialise in Defendant Insurance work (Focus on Workcover but there would be other types of matters on offer), focusing on building genuine relationships with insurers and delivering sensible commercial results. This role is ideal for a commercially minded lawyer who wants to resolve disputes with a strategic approach and commercial acumen rather than working with individual clients trying to maximise claims.

If you have relevant post-admission experience and can show that you have been able to manage personal injury files and have some experience with Workcover, then we want to hear from you. This role will not last long and is truly a unique opportunity!

About you:

Plaintiff or defendant personal injury lawyer looking to work solely in the defendant space!

A proven record working on personal injury matters and awareness of Workcover matters and procedure

Absolute Minimum of 1-year PQE is essential (pre-admission experience in Workcover will be highly regarded)

A desire to specialise in Defendant insurance work

Excellent relationship-building skills with insurers

A natural commercial mindset to navigate and resolve disputes in a timely manner

Ability to manage multiple files and meet deadlines
