About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone early in their career to step into a junior purchasing position and build hands-on experience in a supportive environment. Reporting to the Purchasing Team Leader and working closely with another Purchasing Officer and the General Manager of Operations, you’ll play an important role in managing purchasing administration and supplier coordination.
You’ll gain exposure to procurement systems, supplier negotiations, and inventory management while developing a solid foundation in purchasing within a fast-paced, collaborative team.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage purchase orders with a focus on accuracy and timely processing
Support supplier communication, including pricing updates and delivery follow-ups
Track outstanding orders and monitor inventory using Netstock
Assist in onboarding new suppliers and maintaining supplier records
Provide admin support to the purchasing team and cross-functional departments
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and sustainability goals
Contribute to a team culture that values service, accuracy, and integrity
What You’ll Bring
Up to 2 years’ experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory, or admin support
Strong attention to detail and well-organised with a structured approach to work
Good communication skills and confidence speaking with suppliers and internal teams
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Experience with inventory or purchasing systems (Netstock is a plus)
A positive attitude, willingness to learn, and a proactive mindset
Alignment with company values and interest in the building or construction industry
