About the role

As a Social Media Manager you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's social media strategy and presence across key platforms and clients. In this full-time, Melbourne-based position, you will be responsible for developing and executing engaging content, managing community interactions, and analysing performance to optimise our social media channels as well as our clients.

What you'll be doing

Develop and implement a comprehensive social media strategy to expand online reach and engagement

Create high-performing, on-brand content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms

Manage daily social media activities, including community engagement, responding to comments, and messages

Monitor and analyse social media performance, providing insights and recommendations to improve results

Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices, and make recommendations for platform expansion

Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure social media campaigns are aligned with broader marketing efforts

Maintain a content calendar and editorial schedule to ensure consistent and timely content publishing

What we're looking for

✅ Content Planning & Strategy

Ability to plan and execute monthly content calendars tailored to each client’s goal.

Strong understanding of social media trends, algorithms, and platform updates (Instagram, TikTok, Facebook).

Experience in ideating and pitching creative concepts that align with brand tone and audience engagement.

✅ Creative Production

Confident operating camera gear (DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, gimbals, lighting setups).

Skilled in capturing high-quality photo and video content for social platforms.

Experience directing and capturing “behind the scenes” content during client shoots.

✅ Editing & Post-Production

Proficient in video editing software (CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).

Ability to edit short-form videos for Reels/TikTok that are optimised for virality and audience retention.

Basic graphic design skills (using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator) to create story highlights, banners, and simple posts.

✅ Platform Expertise

Deep knowledge of Instagram and TikTok: trends, audio usage, hashtags, and content formats.

Understanding of Meta Business Suite for scheduling and insights.

Ability to write engaging captions and manage brand tone of voice effectively.

✅ Soft Skills

Highly organised and detail-oriented, ensuring client deadlines are met.

Creative and idea-driven with the ability to think on their feet during shoots.

Strong communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.

Proactive and self-motivated to stay ahead of trends without constant supervision.
