With a strong national footprint and a growing reputation as a key player in the aluminium building envelope space, the company is entering its next phase of strategic growth and operational maturity. They are now seeking a dynamic and commercially astute General Manager to lead the business through this exciting chapter.

Role Overview

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, strategy, and operational performance of the business. Reporting directly to the Board, this role requires a strong leader with deep expertise in the aluminium façade and cladding industry, proven commercial acumen, and the ability to drive business performance at a national level.

You will lead cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Estimating, Technical, and Project Delivery, ensuring financial objectives are met while upholding the highest standards of safety, quality, and client service. A key part of your mandate will include oversight of P&L, business development strategy, and operational efficiencies, with regular travel required to interstate offices and client sites.

This is a high-impact leadership role suited to a seasoned executive who thrives in fast-paced, design-led construction environments and brings a deep understanding of façade systems, cladding products, and end-to-end project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership and overall business direction to drive sustainable growth and profitability.

Full P&L responsibility, including budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and performance reporting.

Oversee day-to-day operations across estimating, procurement, project delivery, and client management.

Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation.

Strengthen operational processes and systems to support scalability and efficiency.

Maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders including clients, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams.

Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards.

Represent the business nationally, with travel across QLD, NSW, and VIC as required.

Candidate Requirements

Minimum 10+ years’ experience in senior leadership roles within the aluminium façades or architectural cladding industry.

Proven experience managing full business operations including P&L, team leadership, and strategic planning.

Deep technical knowledge of façade systems, cladding materials, and national building compliance requirements.

Demonstrated experience managing multi-site operations and delivering commercial outcomes.

Strong commercial mindset with an ability to identify new market opportunities and drive revenue growth.

Exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels.

Willingness and ability to travel interstate as required by business demands.

Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field will be highly regarded.

Salary and Benefits

Base $160k - $170k + 12% Super + Company Car + Bonus
