Purpose of the role
The Executive General Manager (EGM) position is responsible and accountable for:
Overseeing the management of the Trust Services, Trust Management, and Trust Accounting teams;
Developing and delivering Eticore’s service levels and capabilities;
Build and maintain high-performance teams;
Work collaboratively with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chief Operating Officer (COO) to develop and deliver corporate planning and strategy;
Identify inefficiencies and liaise with the COO and Head of Data and Analytics to assist them with the development and implementation of solutions to improve and/or eliminate these inefficiencies;
Build the reputation of Eticore within the financial services and corporate trust industry, specifically in relation to the business’ ability to deliver exceptional client service, its excellence in quality of output, its bespoke and agile solutions for clients, and its consistency and accuracy of all deliverables;
Adhere to and promote Eticore’s ethical tone, including ethical standards, corporate social responsibilities and well-being of the community, with a focus on the values of trust, collaboration and respect; and
Focus on quality output, regulatory adherence and maintaining strong corporate profitability.
Key relationships and reporting structures
The EGM will report directly to the CEO of Eticore Pty Ltd
In addition to working closely with the CEO and COO, the EGM will also work closely with Eticore’s Legal Counsel to proactively identify, reduce and mitigate risks within the organisation, and maintain and improve internal and regulatory compliance across the Trust Services, Trust Management, and Trust Accounting teams.
Deliverables
Oversee the Trust Services, Trust Management, and Trust Accounting teams and ensure delivery is timely, professional and error-free;
Ensure the documentation of policies, procedures and system rules are established and maintained, in order to enhance team-wide capabilities and reduce or eliminate key person risk;
Build dynamic, high-functioning teams working for a common purpose.
Ensure team members feel appropriately valued and rewarded;
Work within a budget to achieve deliverables; and
Together with the CEO and COO, deliver a yearly business plan, budget and 3-year strategic plan.
Relationship with Eticore’s employees:
Respect and value all employees;
Articulate and continually reinforce Eticore’s vision, mission and values to employees;
Ensure ongoing compliance and development of OH&S and internal policies and procedures; and
Promote and maintain a culture that empowers employees to grow within the organisation
Communications:
Maintain respectful and open lines of communication within the organisation to achieve a high level of productivity, maintain strong working relationships and ensure the best outcome from such discussions; and
Consistently present the organisation and its mission, values and services in a strong and positive light to its employees, stakeholders and the general public.
Corporate governance and risk management:
Ensure internal policies and procedures are adhered to at all times;
Maintain and update systems to identify and manage risks within the framework of the organisation’s risk management policy;
Maintain records and documents in accordance with the organisation’s procedures and ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and regulation; and
Work closely with the CEO, COO and Legal Counsel to ensure accountability, transparency, fairness and risk management within the organisation.
Planning and Strategy:
Review trends, challenges and opportunities within the industry relating to the securitisation and wholesale trust markets, and financial markets generally;
Work effectively with the CEO and COO to develop an annual budget/business plan, and a multi-year strategy;
Develop KPIs for employees that align with the EGM’s KPI’s and Eticore’s strategy; and
Develop plans for the organisation’s growth including the implementation of additional resources and system requirements.
Essential knowledge, skills and qualifications
Senior management experience (+ 10 years);
Securitisation and managed fund experience, specifically fund/asset valuation, unit pricing, trust accounting and securitisation calculations;
Degree or higher in one of the following disciplines: finance, accounting, law or related;
Strong people leadership skills;
Strong negotiation and communication skills;
Strong understanding of relevant regulatory issues;
Experience working in a business undergoing transformation and experience in continuous improvement of systems and processes;
Ability to think strategically and drive outcomes;
Strong verbal and written communication skills; and
Outstanding attention to detail.
