Position Overview
As an RTO Educator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering nationally recognised training programs for Aboriginal Health Workers. Your expertise will contribute to preparing students for their vital roles in health care, aligning with national training standards and cultural practises. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of health workers while working closely with a supportive team.
Your Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate AHW training programs, ensuring all materials and facilities are prepared for student commencement.
- Deliver culturally appropriate training sessions that align with adult learning principles.
- Assess and provide feedback to students, ensuring compliance with RTO standards.
- Participate in evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance training delivery.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for passionate individuals who are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of Aboriginal people through education. The ideal candidate will possess:
- An Aboriginal Health Worker qualification or equivalent.
- Experience in teaching adults within the vocational education sector.
- TAE qualification or equivalent, and experience engaging with Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander communities.

Salary & Benefits
In addition to a competitive salary of $102,759 per annum plus superannuation, you will enjoy a generous benefits package including:
- Accommodation allowance up to $13,000 per annum pro rata.
- Electricity allowance of $1,440 per annum pro rata.
- Annual airfare assistance after 12 months of employment valued at $1,285 pro rata.
- District allowance up to $5,840 per annum based on your living arrangements pro rata.

About Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services
KAMSC (Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Services Council) is a regional Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS), providing a collective voice for a network of member ACCHS from towns and remote communities across the Kimberley region of Western Australia.
The Broome Regional Aboriginal Medical Service (BRAMS) was the first Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Service (ACCHS) established in the Kimberley in 1978, and was followed by the East Kimberley Aboriginal Medical Service (EKAMS, in Kununurra) in 1984. The vision for a unified voice, to provide centralised resources and collective advocacy for the sector, achieved reality in 1986 with the establishment of KAMSC.
