We have an exciting opportunity for a passionate Primary Physical Education Teacher (Full Time/1.0 FTE) to teach at our Carramar Primary School Campus. This position will commence Term 1, 2026 and will initially be for a period of 12 months with the possibility of becoming ongoing after a successful performance appraisal.
THE ROLE
The Physical Education Teacher must have a thorough understanding of the Australian Curriculum as implemented in Western Australia, including Early Years education, applying relevant methodologies to their teaching practices. They are responsible for delivering physical education programs and leading activities that foster physical and emotional learning for students from Pre Primary to year 6. As well as planning and delivering the curriculum, the teacher will be responsible for the organisation of Primary sporting carnivals and additional extra-curricular sporting opportunities.

Appropriate teaching qualifications and registration with the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia.
The Working with Children (Criminal Record Checking) Act 2004 applies for anyone working in child related employment
High levels of skill in teaching, with a willingness to innovate in order to find better practices.
A passion for teaching.
A coherent philosophy of education, expressed in practice.
An excellent knowledge of contemporary educational issues and directions, especially in his/her learning area.
An ability to foster positive personal relationships with students, with a commitment to their personal growth.
Skills and experience in developing, implementing and evaluating curriculum.
Highly developed skills in the application of technology as a learning, teaching and management tool.
An ability to foster positive relationships with students, with a commitment to their personal growth.
Participation in appropriate professional contributions to the learning area beyond the School.
Provide a child safe environment in accordance with the child safe standards and adhee to the school's policies and procedures regarding student safety, health and wellbeing.
Willingness to positively and actively contribute to the Christian culture of the School.
Experience in and a preparedness to contribute to the School’s camping, retreat and extra-curricular programs.
