Our client is looking for a motivated Estimator / Cost Planner to join their team and help shape the success of their future builds. They are looking for someone recently graduated or early in their career, with a strong interest in pursuing estimating.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates at all stages of the design and tender process
• Manage and track multiple tenders simultaneously
• Review project plans, specifications, and documents to ensure comprehensive costings
• Conduct site visits for project evaluation
• Consult with clients, architects, suppliers, and subcontractors to resolve pricing and planning queries
• Provide cost breakdowns for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontracted services
• Evaluate project risks, opportunities, and cost-saving strategies
• Maintain and update estimating databases and cost records
• Assist in bid submissions, value engineering, and contract negotiation
• Ensure timely and complete tender submissions, including subcontractor follow-ups
• Collaborate closely with project teams during the project lifecycle to manage any cost-related changes

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Project Management, Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field
• Minimum 4 years of experience in construction, ideally with a focus on estimating or cost planning
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and current building codes
• Proficiency in: Cubit Estimating, MS Project, Procore, EstimateOne
• High attention to detail with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Effective communication and stakeholder liaison
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
• Capable of interpreting and acting on incomplete or preliminary project documentation
