We are a small local business, specializing in residential renovations and repairs in the Adelaide northern area. The owner Anthony has 16 years in the industry covering a broad range of jobs. The day to day of our company varies a lot. One day you might be rendering a small extension, the next you might be laying a new deck. we like to keep it fresh by not doing the same old thing day in day out. we keep a Monday to Friday schedule working 7-330, we all have family to get home to and down time is highly valued.

About the role

A lot of the work is carried out in a renovation fashion, working in clients homes we expect a certain level of professionalism. we generally try to work north of the Adelaide CBD with our base of operations currently in kersbrook. As a highly skilled carpenter you will be responsible for helping to deliver on the quality workmanship and project deadlines, working autonomously to create these outcomes as well as with the team. you will need to be a skilled problem solver, adapting to the day-to-day challengers that arise and overcoming them. some basic technology skills are expected to operate job management and safety software. You’ll get the chance to enhance your skills in areas you may have never explored, plastering, tiling, flooring, rendering, landscaping, all possible tasks and keep the boredom away.

there is the option to be the primary leading hand and take charge of the team, this would result in a bigger salary as well as driving the brand-new ford transit company van (heated seats for those cold mornings)

Qualifications & experience

cert 3 carpentry and joinery

current sa drivers license

white card

6 plus years on the tools

problem-solving experience

team leadership a plus

Tasks & responsibilities

working within to team to achieve a successful outcome on each job

managing less experienced staff including delegating tasks and giving instructions/training

meeting deadlines on day-to-day tasks Aswell as long-term project timelines

carrying out all sorts of renovation tasks, from framing and roofing, to plaster and flooring

work autonomously to achieve a successful outcome including problem solving and sourcing materials if needed

reading and interpreting plans

completing site safety documentation Aswell as maintaining a safe work environment
