About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and reliable full-time carpenter with a strong background in residential and custom renovation work. The ideal candidate will have broad experience across various carpentry techniques and renovations. Exceptional time management, task prioritization, and keen attention to detail are essential. A professional attitude, clear communication skills, and a friendly, team-oriented approach are key to thriving in this role.
Qualifications & Experience
Certified Carpenter with a minimum of One year of hands-on experience
Holds an AQF Certificate III in Carpentry
Proven experience in Carpentry
A strong commitment to teamwork and fostering a positive work culture
Duties and Responsibilities
Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures using timber, plywood, and related materials.
Build frameworks including walls, flooring systems, doorframes, partitions, and roof supports.
Cut, shape, and join materials with both hand tools and power equipment, ensuring precise workmanship.
Review and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to determine project needs.
Plan and organize tasks based on measurements and design specifications.
Measure and mark cutting lines on materials accurately before fabrication.
Utilize tools such as levels, plumb lines, and squares to confirm alignment and precision.
Install various fittings and finishes, such as doors, windows, cabinetry, stairs, skirting boards, and trim.
Assemble built-in units and custom furniture as required.
Set up and dismantle concrete formwork for foundations, walls, and slabs, particularly in large-scale construction.
Examine existing structures and carry out repairs or replacements on damaged woodwork.
Conduct regular upkeep and checks on carpentry tools and machinery.
Adhere to on-site safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ensure all work complies with Australian building codes, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
Keep the work area neat, organized, and free of hazards.
Collaborate effectively with other trades such as electricians, plumbers, and general builders.
Maintain clear communication with clients, supervisors, and team members throughout the project.
