Your new role

As a Carpenter within this well‑established construction and carpentry business, you will be instrumental in delivering high‑quality residential projects with a strong focus on outdoor home improvements. Working on decks, pergolas, extensions and other custom builds, you will be responsible for interpreting and working from detailed drawings to ensure each project is completed to the highest standard. In addition to your hands‑on work, you will lead and mentor a small team on site, coordinating tasks, maintaining safety, and ensuring deadlines are met. The role requires strong problem‑solving skills, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to achieving exceptional finishes that enhance clients' homes and lifestyles. Your leadership and craftsmanship will directly contribute to the company's reputation for quality outdoor living solutions, helping to build lasting client relationships and drive the organisation's continued success.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Proven experience in carpentry with a strong focus on outdoor home improvement projects such as decks, pergolas and extensions
• Ability to accurately read and interpret drawings and plans to deliver projects to specification
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to guide and motivate a small team on site
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• High level of attention to detail and commitment to producing quality finishes
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure projects are delivered on schedule
• Sound knowledge of safety standards and ability to maintain a safe work environment
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members and management
• Trade qualification in carpentry or equivalent industry experience
• Flexibility and adaptability to manage a variety of residential and commercial projects
