The Opportunity
Positioned within the Council's Advocacy, Communications and Engagement department, the Coordinator Digital Media will bring innovative creativity to lead the delivery of digital media engagement across a range of channels. This role will lead new and engaging content development to provide awareness and promotion on Council's programs and services.
In addition to providing leadership, supervision and guidance to both the Digital Media Lead and Digital Media Advisor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Leading engagement across Council's corporate digital media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, LinkedIn and TikTok.
- Developing, implementing, growing and evaluating social media content across all of Council's social media platforms.
- Monitoring, tracking and reporting on Council digital channels, including providing analytics, advice and evaluating possible future developments to improve digital media and website communication offerings.
- Identifying and recommending new social channels to invest in.
- Leading the use of digital tools such as Eventbrite, Screencloud, Ooh Media, CAASie boards etc.
Skills & Experience
- The skills and knowledge needed for entry to this Band are beyond those normally acquired through tertiary education alone.
- Typically, they would be gained through completion of a degree or diploma course with several years of subsequent relevant experience. They might also be acquired through higher formal qualifications either in the field of specialist expertise or in management, together with a shorter period of experience, or they might be acquired through lesser formal qualifications with extensive relevant experience.
