About the role:

The successful applicant will be the first point of contact for the practice and overlook the procedure and surgical bookings of the practice. You will have a patient-focused approach with genuine empathy and interest in patient needs, strong communication skills and a great eye for detail.

Key duties & responsibilities:

General reception duties: meet & greet, answering calls, SMS reminders, scanning, emailing, data entry, etc

Booking of appointments, post ops, and procedures/surgeries.

Coordinate and manage Theatre lists

Billing and collection of payments of appointments and procedures with Eftpos & HICAPS terminals, reconciliation of daily banking

Send consult letters & reports to referring doctors

Desirable qualities and experience:

A positive and friendly nature.

Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

Ability to multitask coupled with the ability to priorities duties.

Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

Previous experience working in medical reception or healthcare administration role.

Tech savvy and proficient in Microsoft programs and practice management software.

Can work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently when required.

Previous surgical/procedure bookings experience is an advantage
