THE MONDAY GROUP is exclusively partnering with a leading national Facilities & Asset Management company that holds a longstanding, high-profile government contract.

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef with a background in large-scale catering or high-volume food operations to help lead and enhance site catering.
Reporting to a people-focused Head Chef, you will oversee kitchen operations, manage personnel, and ensure the seamless production and delivery of high-quality food services.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef in overseeing meal preparation and service delivery.
• Manage stock, including ordering, rotation, labeling, and inventory control.
• Train kitchen staff on food preparation methods, presentation standards, and religious meal requirements.
• Ensure strict compliance with Food Safety Programs, including hazard identification and HACCP protocols.
• Operate large-scale cooking equipment and maintain high efficiency in food production.
• Uphold Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards in all kitchen operations.
• Address and resolve customer feedback promptly and professionally.

About You

• Qualifications: Australian-recognized Commercial Cookery qualification (Cert III).
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as a Sous Chef in large commercial kitchens.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of Food Safety Standards and relevant legislation.
• Skills: Excellent planning, organization, and interpersonal communication abilities.
