Blossom Early Learning is excited to announce the opening of our brand new, purpose-built, 118-place childcare centre in Footscray. We’re seeking an experienced, passionate and dedicated Service Manager to help build our founding team, help with final set up for a successful opening day, and be a leader and vital part of our supportive and collaborative team culture. This full-time role is critical in ensuring the smooth running of our service and providing high-quality care and educational experiences, and requires a positive, proactive and ‘can do’ attitude.

What you'll be doing

Overseeing the day-to-day running of the centre, including staff management, program planning, policy implementation, and compliance with regulatory requirements

Fostering a positive and collaborative team culture, providing mentoring and support to educators

Ensuring the centre's educational program reflects the approved learning frameworks and meets the needs of children and families

Developing and maintaining strong relationships with families, the local community, and key stakeholders

Managing the centre's administrative and financial responsibilities, including budgeting and reporting

Identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing strategies to enhance the centre's operations and service delivery to deliver best-practice car

What we're looking for

Relevant tertiary qualification in Early Childhood Education or a related field

Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior leadership role within the childcare or outside school hours care sector

Excellent understanding of the National Quality Framework, the Education and Care Services National Law and Regulations, and a proven track record of maintaining high quality ratings

In-depth knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with families, educators, and stakeholders

Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement

Demonstrated skills in team leadership, operational/staff/HR management, and professional development

Commitment to upholding the centre's values and delivering high-quality early childhood education and care

WWCC (VIC), First Aid, CPR, Child Protection, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates

Availability to work shifts between 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday to Friday (flexible 4-day/38hr work week option available for the right candidate).
