We are seeking a skilled National Operations Manager to lead our nationwide warehouse and distribution operations, overseeing teams across four key locations to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure smooth, efficient operations.

The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Director, the National Operations Manager, will be responsible for the overall performance of our warehouses in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, and Perth. This key leadership position involves managing warehouse operations, optimising inventory control, ensuring compliance and safety, and leading distribution to meet the needs of our customers. We are also looking for someone who can drive some key projects to provide operational excellence and continual improvement, particularly regarding the efficiency of our warehouses and in streamlining our logistics. We use Netsuite as our core system and RF Smart for picking.

Key Responsibilities

Lead & Inspire: Mentor and lead Warehouse Managers and their teams, fostering a positive, accountable, and collaborative work culture.

Drive Operational Efficiency: Ensure each warehouse meets productivity targets and operates within budget.

Optimise Distribution: Manage the national distribution network to ensure accurate and on-time product delivery.

Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels across warehouses to reduce waste and meet demand.

Vendor Management: Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring quality, timeliness, and cost-effectiveness.

Safety & Compliance: Implement and uphold WHS standards, conducting audits and maintaining a proactive approach to safety.

Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategies to support company growth and sustainability goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, and Supply Chain to ensure seamless operations.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:

Leadership Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operations or logistics, with at least 2 years in a senior leadership role.

Warehouse Expertise: Strong knowledge of warehouse management, inventory control, and distribution processes across multi-site operations.

Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret data and drive improvements across the supply chain.

Project Management: Experience in leading large-scale projects and process improvements.

Exceptional Communication: Skilled in influencing and negotiating, with excellent verbal and written communication.

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), ideally NetSuite or similar.

Problem-Solving Ability: A proactive mindset with strong strategic thinking and decision-making skills.
