Based in Carrum Downs this Australian manufacturer specialises in timber casing products for the Australian and overseas markets. With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to oversee and drive the growth of our business.

As the General Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of the company. Reporting directly to the Directors, you will manage all facets of the business, including operations, finance, sales, marketing, and human resources. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving performance, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, and ensuring the company's long-term success.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement business strategies to achieve organizational goals and objectives
• Operational Excellence: Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and timely delivery of products
• Financial Management: Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance to meet profitability targets
• Team Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and productive work environment
• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders
• Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives to enhance processes, reduce costs, and improve product quality

Experience & Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a General Manager or Similar positions in the manufacturing industry, preferably but not essential within timber casing or a similar sector
• Leadership: Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, with strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Financial Acumen: Solid understanding of financial management, including budgeting and P&L oversight
• Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with all levels of the organisation
• Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality control standards, and supply chain management
