About the Role

Join Lift Equipt in Keysborough VIC, as a skilled Heavy Diesel Mechanic. In this full-time position, you'll work Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, maintaining and servicing our material handling hire fleet and sold units. Your expertise in heavy diesel mechanics will be crucial in ensuring our operations remain safe and efficient.

You’ll be working independently in the field, backed by a national team, with the freedom to make decisions in your own your territory. This isn’t a workshop-bound role. You’ll be out and about, solving problems, keeping machines running, and working directly with our powerful Bobcat gear and more. What You'll Be Doing

Equipment Repair: Inspect, diagnose, and repair material handling equipment, such as forklifts, container handlers, reach stackers, utility vehicles, and access equipment.

Equipment Servicing: Conduct regular services on both hire fleet and sold units.

Issue Identification: Proactively identify potential issues and recommend preventive maintenance measures.

Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance and repairs, including weekly inspections, engine overhauls, transmission work, and troubleshooting electrical systems.

Breakdown Response: Respond to breakdowns and callouts for our customers.

Record Keeping: Maintain detailed records of all completed work and parts used.

Team Coordination: Collaborate with the operations team to ensure timely job completion.

Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

What We're Looking For

Trade qualification: Formal qualifications in Heavy Diesel Mechanics or a related field.

Experience Required: At least 5 years of experience as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, ideally in the automotive or industrial equipment sector.

Repair Efficiency: Ability to complete services and repairs efficiently.

License Requirements: A valid driver's license. Preferably MR License. The ability to operate a variety of heavy machinery.

Forklift License: Possessing a forklift license is highly desirable, but it can be acquired after being successful.
