Application Packaging Consultant – 10-Month Contract – Onsite in Canberra

We are currently seeking an experienced Application Packaging Consultant to support a critical enterprise transformation program based in Central Canberra. This is a 10-month contract role, working onsite within a secure government-focused environment, with a strong likelihood of extension.

Our client is a leading global consultancy with an expanding presence across Canberra’s public sector technology landscape. Renowned for delivering high-impact digital transformation across government, defence, AI, cloud, and enterprise systems, the organisation offers a collaborative and future-focused environment. This role will contribute to the ongoing uplift of secure desktop environments and SOE packaging initiatives in a high-trust federal setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Package, test, and deploy applications using tools such as AdminStudio, App-V, MSIX, or SCCM/Intune
• Conduct application discovery, analysis, and user consultation for packaging requirements
• Ensure compatibility with Standard Operating Environments (SOE) and enterprise desktop platforms
• Troubleshoot and resolve packaging-related issues in production or pre-production environments
• Collaborate with engineers, testers, and project teams to align packaging with rollout plans and security standards

About You:

• Must hold a NV1 Based Clearance Level
• Strong experience in application packaging in enterprise/government environments
• Proficiency with AdminStudio, MSI, MSIX, App-V, or similar packaging formats
• Solid understanding of SOE environments, Windows 10/11, and M365 ecosystems
• Familiarity with deployment via SCCM, Intune, or other endpoint management platforms
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently within a structured framework
• Australian Citizenship is mandatory (NV1 clearance highly regarded)
