👩‍🍳 Cook – Aged Care Facility (Regional QLD – Near the Whitsundays)

About the Role:

As a Cook in our aged care facility, you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, high-quality meals tailored to the dietary needs and preferences of our elderly residents. You’ll work alongside a supportive team in a rewarding environment where your contribution truly matters.

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook daily meals in line with dietary guidelines and resident care plans

Ensure meals are nutritious, appealing, and delivered on time

Cater to individual dietary needs (e.g. diabetic, texture-modified, cultural diets)

Maintain kitchen hygiene and comply with all food safety and HACCP standards

Support menu planning and food ordering with a focus on quality and budget

Maintain stock rotation and accurate records

Collaborate with care staff to ensure residents’ mealtime satisfaction

Requirements:

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent experience)

Previous experience in aged care, healthcare, or high-volume kitchens preferred

Knowledge of dietary and food safety requirements in aged care settings

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Excellent time management and organisational skills

Current Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

COVID-19 and flu vaccinations (as per current health regulations)
