ABOUT THE ROLE
Are you an experienced and strategic leader seeking a career-defining opportunity in Defence and civil sector training? Wodonga TAFE invites you to lead our nationally recognised Driver Machinery Plant Training (DMPT) team, delivering critical non-accredited driver training across Australia.
Based at the Defence site in Puckapunyal, this senior leadership role involves regular travel to support and engage with your team across multiple national locations. You’ll lead a high-performing, purpose-driven team and ensure alignment with Defence expectations and Wodonga TAFE’s values.
This is a rare opportunity to influence national training outcomes, shape team culture, and contribute to the strategic growth of a key business unit.
Selected Duties:
Strategically lead national training operations to meet delivery and financial targets
Coach and mentor a geographically dispersed team to deliver learner-focused programs
Provide expert advice to the Executive Team on industry trends and strategic opportunities
Ensure compliance with Defence contract KPIs and performance standards
Foster a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement
ABOUT YOU
Skills & Experience

A relevant degree in Business Management or extensive leadership experience.
Australian Citizenship (required for Baseline Security Clearance).
Strong leadership presence with the ability to manage complex team dynamics.
Proven experience in program management, stakeholder engagement, and strategic planning.
Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record in business development and tender processes.
Current Australian Driver’s Licence and ability to pass a pre-employment medical.
