Now with a well-focused drive to continue the growth and develop it’s Melbourne operations. This had led to the requirement for a State Service Manager for the Melbourne location. This role requires a true leader for the workshop team. Someone who has the person management skills to get the best out of workshop staff, maintain moral and progress a positive trajectory. This is a building position with the objective to build and develop workshop operations. You would be an integral part of a skilled and dedicated team who are ready to provide the support and investment to get the job done. This is a career defining position.
Main Position Objectives.
Lead and develop existing workshop operations, to a team size of 5-6 technicians.
Develop the service business to be a point of strength with smooth and effective workflow and operation.
Conduct the day-to-day operations of the workshop and workshop administration areas.
Provide excellent communications with other departments and management in relation to relevant operational updates when required.
Play an active role in the overall business unit by developing strong relationships with customers and other team members.
Position Requirement.
A relevant trade qualification Diesel/Heavy/Plant Mechanic Fitter with accompanying knowledge and practical experience.
Experience building, Supervising/Managing workshop or mechanical teams.
Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
The willingness and ability to learn new things and follow company procedures and protocols.
Manage workshop safety, meetings, and staff performance requirements.
The desire to achieve success and the ability to build and manage a strong and effective workshop operations.
