About the Role
Kanda is seeking a meticulous and proactive HR Administration Officer to support our organisation's compliance and workforce management. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, you will be instrumental in supporting certification tracking, onboarding, employee contracts and regulatory reporting. No two days will be the same as you provide high-level administrative support to both internal and external stakeholders.
This is a full-time opportunity to contribute significantly to our broader People Culture and Safety Department. This position can be based in our Capalaba or Ipswich office.
Key Responsibilities
- Compliance & Licensing Administration: Track, monitor, and administrate the expiry/renewal of mandatory certifications (Working with Children Checks/Blue Cards, NDIS Worker Screening Checks, AHPRA).
- New Employee Onboarding: Coordinate the onboarding process, including issuing contracts, confirming pre-employment checks, and enrolling in mandatory training.
- HR Systems & Data Integrity: Maintain accurate staff records in Employment Hero and other HRMS/legislative platforms, ensuring data integrity.
- Administrative Support: Manage email correspondence, record messages, and provide administrative assistance to the HR Operations team.
- Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with internal departments and external bodies regarding compliance and certifications.
- Award interpretation and queries: learn how to interpret awards and respond to general queries.
About You
- Demonstrated experience (minimum 2 years preferred) in administration, ideally within HR in the disability, aged care, child safety, or community services sector.
- Understanding of (or ability to obtain) legislative and licensing requirements relevant to the sector (Blue Card, NDIS, Aged Care, Nursing).
- Proficiency in software systems and confident with Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail.
- High-level organisational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Commitment to confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Hold a current Working with Children Suitability Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening Yellow Card & Class C Drivers Licence.
