Four Part-Time Roles – or Two Combined Full-Time Positions

New Horizons Tasmania is recruiting for four (4) flexible part-time roles—with the option to combine them into two (2) full-time positions for the right candidates.
Based in Launceston, Hobart, or Penguin, these roles offer flexibility, purpose, and the chance to be part of a passionate, inclusive team.

Current Part-Time Opportunities
1. Personal Assistant to the CEO (Launceston preferred)
Provide high-level executive support to the CEO, helping coordinate operations, stakeholder engagement, and project timelines.
Key tasks include:
Managing the CEO’s calendars, travel, inbox and meetings
Preparing reports, documents, and presentations
Supporting strategic initiatives and internal comms
Liaising with external partners and stakeholders
Supporting project timelines and internal communications
2. Communications & Marketing Coordinator (Launceston preferred)
Drive our communication strategy across digital and traditional media to grow awareness and support.
Key tasks include:
Creating content for social media, newsletters, website and print
Writing and managing media releases, reports and grant submissions
Building stakeholder and media relationships
Managing marketing and communications plans using tools like Canva, WordPress, and Salesforce CRM
3. Volunteer Coordinator
Support the recruitment, onboarding, and development of volunteers who help deliver NHT programs across the state, and assist in the running of minor and major fundraising events.
Key tasks include:
Recruiting and mentoring volunteers
Facilitating onboarding and training
Coordinating community partnerships
Monitoring volunteer engagement and impact
4. Events & Fundraising Officer
Take the lead on planning and delivering events that raise vital funds and awareness for our programs.
Key tasks include:
Managing events like our annual gala and community fundraisers
Developing creative fundraising campaigns
Coordinating event logistics and volunteers
Seeking sponsorships, donations, and writing grant applications
These four part-time roles have the potential to also be combined to create TWO (2) FULL-TIME positions for the right candidate.
