- Permanent opportunity for an experienced Senior Assets Planner in the water industry
- Based in Osborne Park, offering a collaborative and strategic work environment
- $135,693 plus Super with the chance to influence long-term infrastructure planning
About the role
As a valued member of the Asset Planning team, you'll help drive key asset management initiatives that enable the business to assess performance, condition, and risk across its infrastructure portfolio. Your insights will shape strategic, forward-looking renewal plans that support the long-term sustainability of essential services.
In this role, you’ll also take the lead in monitoring and managing asset capability, ensuring our critical infrastructure consistently meets service expectations now and well into the future, all while maintaining prudent levels of risk.

What you can expect with this role
- Drive the creation and continuous improvement of Asset Management Plans for your assigned systems
- Evaluate the long-term capability of assets, ensuring they meet service standards and addressing any performance gaps
- Analyse system data to identify future planning needs and recommend practical solutions to mitigate risks
- Contribute to business cases and option analysis, ensuring proposals are strategically sound and well documented
- Champion forward-thinking asset renewal planning to ensure sustainable infrastructure performance
- Support the prioritisation and development of capital works, condition assessments, and other key operational programs
Your skills and experience
For this role, we are looking for great talent with:
- A degree or diploma in an engineering discipline relevant to the water industry
- Demonstrated experience in the operation, maintenance, planning, and asset management of water and wastewater infrastructure
- In-depth knowledge of engineering systems and assets within the water sector
- A strong grasp of asset management principles, with practical experience applying them in real-world settings
- A strong working knowledge of asset management principles, with hands-on experience applying industry best practices to real-world infrastructure challenges
