We are seeking a senior product specialist to define product requirements specifically for the Australian market, focusing on adapting and enhancing our autonomous driving solutions that have been widely deployed in China. This role is responsible for identifying gaps between current product capabilities, the operational, regulatory, and user expectations in Australia, and translating those into actionable requirements for the R&D team.

Key Responsibilities:

Analyse and define localisation feature requirements, ensuring clear and accurate documentation.

Work closely with our business development team and project delivery manager to ensure product features align with client needs and project timelines.

Communicate effectively with the China-based product team to ensure a clear understanding of the schedule and features.

Assist with product upgrades and releases on-site.

Oversee and refine the product manual to reflect ongoing product enhancements.

Support supplier sourcing and evaluation for local components, ensuring a smooth supply chain.

Define and manage localised product requirements based on the operational, environmental, and regulatory demands of the Australian mining sector.

Analyse the performance and structure of existing autonomous driving products deployed in China and identify necessary adaptations for the Australian market.

Work closely with the engineering and R&D teams in China to translate high-level field needs into detailed, actionable technical requirements.

Ensure product localisation aligns with Australian mining standards (e.g. safety, compliance, user interface, environmental conditions).

Act as the technical bridge between Australian mining operations, local stakeholders, and the product development team.

Maintain an in-depth understanding of autonomy system architecture, including perception, planning, control, and communication modules.

Provide technical input and validation during requirement review, product iteration, and system-level design discussions.

Conduct comparative analysis between manual and autonomous LHD processes, identifying gaps and opportunities for product enhancement.

Travel to mine sites to identify product gaps and improvement requirements.

Essential Criteria:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering (Mechatronics, Electrical, Mining, Computer Science, or related fields). Therefore, Educational background in Engineering is required.

Minimum 2 years of experience in product management or product analysis.

Minimum 3 years of experience in mining.

Familiarity with open-pit mining operations, especially Load-Haul-Dump processes.

Minimum 5 years of experience in autonomous systems, mining technology, or related heavy equipment industries.

Strong communication and technical analysis skills, with good presentation skills.

Willingness to travel frequently, including international travel.

Strong understanding of system architecture, control systems, and autonomy stacks.

Proven experience in product requirement analysis and specification writing.

Excellent communication skills to interface between technical and operational teams across different cultural contexts.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience with FMS (Fleet Management Systems) is a plus.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and multicultural teams.
