We’re on the lookout for a Sous Chef to join our team at Fenway Sports Bar, one of Subiaco's busiest and best-loved sports bars. From game day crowds to weekend regulars, our kitchen is the heart of the venue, and we’re ready for our next rising star. The Sous Chef will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef in the smooth running of the kitchen including keeping the same high consistent standards, staff training, stocktake, wastage control and maintaining overall kitchen cleanliness.

Required responsibilities

-Guiding the kitchen team to ensure meals are consistent in quality, presentation and taste

-Work as a part of a team, creating a positive working environment

-Overseeing kitchen operations, such as food preparation and busy services

-Develop the skills and effectiveness of all kitchen employees through the appropriate training, coaching or mentoring

Skills and experience required

Ideal candidates will have the following skills and experiences;

-Relevant Qualification in Commercial Cookery

-Experience working in a fast paced kitchen

-Effectively collaborate, communicate, and coordinate with the Head chef

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

-Organisational skills including time management and task prioritisation

-Good leadership to the junior staff and willingness to teach them

Salary is dependent on experience and open for discussion
