In the energy efficiency segment they're renowned for being one of the leading high end installer and retailers for commercial solar, heat pump, HVAC, industrial electrification and much more to both corporate and residential.
They derive their revenue from the creation of energy savings certificates such as LGCs, STCs, ESCs, VEECs and every other carbon credit cert in the schemes - they install product, create and trade carbon credits certificates and deliver high quality service to their end user customers.
On top of the above, they are also a proud manufacturer of hardware and products used in their product range mentioned above, so the brand are diversified on many levels along with offices and staff nationally keeping them on an exciting curb of growth year on year.
The position:
The position as Chief of Compliance & Operations is an executive role working closing with the board of directors and playing a key role in enhancing current operations, strategy for ongoing improvement, increasing efficiencies and managing the brands compliance, risk and regulatory responsibilities.
Some key responsibilities will include:
- Operational enhancement, development and implementation
- Increase compliance efficiencies and systems internally
- Ensure alignment with regulatory responsibilities
- Evaluate and mitigate risk implementing best practices
- Form high quality business plans that align with operations
- Management of company staffing in Compliance and Operations
- Lead the regulatory compliance and quality assurance efforts
- Ensure certificate creation teams are meeting goals a passing audits
- Monitor changes to regulations or laws in various verticals
- Ensure quality assurance standards are firm for cert claim evidence
- Develop corrective plans for breaches noncompliance
- Responsible for forecasting, budgets to maintain cashflow and profit
- Manage accreditations and licencing requirements for the organisation
- Strengthen company culture and ethical behaviour for staff and partners
- Lead high level liaison with government regulatory bodies and third parties
- Developing employees and departments through training and education
Benefits:
- On target earnings $285,000 + (salary, super, bonus)
- Salary range$180,000 - $225,000 + bonus + super
- 50/50 WFH flexibility, 2/3 days WFH - 2/3 days in office

The experience necessary:
To be considered for this role you need to have existing experience from the related industry within environmental certificates for the carbon credit market with an understanding toward the national energy efficiency schemes, their energy certificate creation and their governing bodies - ESS via IPART, VEET/VEU via ESC etc.
The main requirements are:
- Senior management experience in the energy efficiency industry
- Demonstrated experience compliance and regulatory management
- Understand the creation ESCs, VEECs, STCs, LGCs etc
- Exposure to governing energy industry bodies IPART and ESC
- Ability to drive change and improvement in company operations
- Exceptional problem-solving and data-driven reasoning skills
- Proficiency in developing high yielding company strategies
- Ability to understand and translate regulatory changes and requirements
- Skilled in motivating and managing cross-functional teams
- Can identify risk, lead corrective changes and execute decisions
- Fosters a collaborative, growth-oriented workplace culture
- Inspires and promotes a positive, productive work environment
- Proven ability to influence, engage, and articulate with clarity
