About the role:
Parks Victoria is seeking a dedicated and skilled Biodiversity and Environment Officer to help coordinate and deliver a major biodiversity and environmental recovery program in the Grampians (Gariwerd) National Park.
This role supports the implementation of externally funded nature conservation projects following the 2024-25 summer fires, contributing directly to habitat restoration, pest plant and animal control, and ecological resilience across the Gariwerd landscape. You'll play a key role in planning, coordinating, and delivering priority environmental works in a dynamic and collaborative team.
We're looking for someone with:
- Tertiary qualifications in science, natural resource management or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated experience in pest plant and/or animal control projects in a park or public land setting
- Strong project management skills, with experience across multiple portfolios
- Proven stakeholder engagement and operational coordination experience
