The Opportunity
As an Environmental Partnerships Officer, you’ll work closely with volunteers, community groups and partner organisations to protect and enhance East Gippsland’s natural environment. You’ll support the planning and delivery of environmental projects on Council-managed land, roadsides and private properties, building strong partnerships that lead to meaningful outcomes for our environment.
You’ll guide and supervise on-ground works, assist with grant programs, and help develop policies and resources that support environmental volunteers.
What we’re looking for:
- A people person who loves working with the community and can build strong, productive relationships
- A background in natural resource management and a passion for biodiversity
- An organised, proactive team member who can manage small projects from start to finish
- Someone with experience working with volunteers and coordinating field-based environmental activities
- A confident communicator with the ability to problem-solve and work independently
Required Qualifications:
- A degree or diploma in Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management, or a related field
- A current Victorian Driver’s Licence
This position is based from Kalimna West and Lakes Entrance.
If successful, you will need to undertake a police check, and pre-employment medical check and attain an employee type working with children check. You must also be legally entitled to work in Australia.
