About the role:
This pivotal role oversees the implementation of externally funded biodiversity and conservation recovery initiatives, ensuring delivery is on time, within budget, and meets quality expectations. Leading a small team including a Recovery Project Officer, the Coordinator provides strong direction and expertise, ensuring local recovery actions are informed, effective, and culturally sensitive.
The role requires a skilled project leader with a solid foundation in biodiversity management, strong operational and financial oversight, and the ability to coordinate complex work across internal teams and external partners, including Traditional Owners and community stakeholders.
We're looking for someone with:
- Extensive experience in managing biodiversity or conservation recovery programs
- Demonstrated project and portfolio management expertise, including financial oversight and procurement
- Proven ability to develop and implement ecological management and action plans
- Experience in delivering high-level technical advice and support on biodiversity issues
