Advali Accountants
Posted 12 days ago
***IMMEDIATE START AVAILABLE***
IMPORTANT: Please include a personalised cover letter telling us why you’re interested in this role and what excites you about working at Advali Accountants. We’re looking for someone who is genuinely curious about what we do and eager to be part of our team in the long term. Please also ensure you provide at least 3 references.
Who are we?
We’re entering an exciting growth phase, making this the perfect time to join our team. Soon, we’ll be moving into a brand-new office with beautiful views over the South Perth foreshore — an inspiring space to work, collaborate, and grow together.
As our firm expands, you’ll have the opportunity to be part of that journey, with exposure to a variety of work and the chance to grow alongside us.
We value your growth
Whether it’s taking on new types of clients, exploring different areas of accounting, or stepping into more responsibility, you’ll be supported to develop your skills and shape a role that evolves with your interests and strengths.
We offer a variety of targeted services
We’re not your traditional accounting firm
Unlike many boutique firms, we offer a strong focus on advisory services — from financial modelling and dashboards to valuations and system integrations. We love helping clients make smarter decisions, not just lodge their returns.
At Advali Accountants, we work primarily with Xero and focus on:
Business and individual tax compliance (financial reporting, tax returns, BASs, etc.)
R&D tax incentives
E-commerce and online businesses
SMSFs
Tax-effective structuring & corporate actions
Outsourced CFO services
Advisory services (financial modelling, dashboards, valuations, system integrations, and more)
We love tech
We’re a dynamic, forward-thinking team with a genuine love of technology. We actively invest in the latest software and tools to streamline our work, improve efficiency, and deliver better outcomes for our clients. Embracing innovation allows us to focus more on meaningful, high-value tasks and less on manual processes.
We value our team & our clients
While we’re open to discussing working arrangements that support your work-life balance, we’re not a fully remote firm. We believe that being in the office helps us maintain a strong team culture, collaborate effectively, support one another, and provide the responsive, personal service our clients value, including in-person meetings upon client request.
We’re like a small family. We enjoy spending time together, whether that’s grabbing a drink after work, sharing a meal, or taking part in team-building activities. It’s important to us that everyone feels part of the team and that we create an environment where people enjoy coming to work.
If you’re someone who values connection, collaboration, and a genuinely supportive team, we’d love to hear from you.
The role
Full-time | 9:00am – 5:00pm | Based in South Perth
In this role, you’ll primarily be responsible for compliance work, including:
Preparing financial statements and tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, trusts, and SMSFs
Lodging BASs and IASs
Liaising with clients and the ATO
Manage own client portfolio, including communication, workflow coordination, and ensuring timely delivery of services
Working across cloud-based platforms to manage workflows and documents
Depending on your skills and interests, you’ll have the opportunity to take on a diverse range of tasks and challenges beyond the usual compliance work. You may also have the chance to contribute to advisory projects, such as client dashboards, forecasting, valuations, and other value-adding work. We’ll support you to explore areas that align with your strengths and goals, helping you build a role that grows with you.
About you
We’re looking for someone sharp, curious, and motivated.
Essential:
At least 2 years of experience in tax accounting
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Progressing towards your CA/CPA (CA preferred) or keen to start
Comfortable with cloud-based systems and eager to keep learning new tech
Proactive mindset with a willingness to pitch in and help the team
A long-term interest in building a career in public practice
Bonus points for:
Experience with Xero
Experience with NowInfinity
SMSF knowledge, especially with BGL
You've started your CA or CPA
A strong interest in advisory work
Payroll experience
What you’ll get:
To be part of a great team that values collaboration, respect, and learning
Exposure to a wide range of industries and work, including advisory work (not just compliance!)
A brand-new, modern office with water views in South Perth
A chance to be part of our growth and the support to develop & grow your skills
If this sounds like the kind of place where you’d thrive, we’d love to hear from you.
