About the role

As an Accountant (Business advisory) with our clients mid-tier accounting and audit practice, you'll play a key role in providing strategic financial guidance and support to a diverse range of business clients. Based south of Perth CBD, this full-time position offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in accounting, tax, and business advisory services to help clients achieve their financial goals.

What you'll be doing

Preparing and analyzing financial statements, budgets, and forecasts for clients

Providing tax planning and compliance services, including preparing tax returns and liaising with tax authorities

Offering business advisory services, such as helping clients with strategic decision-making, process improvements, and growth strategies

Conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities for clients to improve their financial performance

Collaborating with the broader team to deliver integrated accounting and business solutions

Maintaining a high level of client service and building strong relationships with key stakeholders

What we're looking for

Semi or fully qualified accountant with 4+ years of experience in a business advisory and tax (Public practice accounting) role

Strong technical skills in accounting, tax, and financial analysis, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial information

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with a commercial mindset and the ability to provide practical, strategic advice

Proven track record of delivering high-quality client service and building long-term relationships

Experience in a professional services environment, within the accounting or business advisory industry

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and with clients

CA or CPA qualifications (Part or fully qualified)

Proficient in accounting software including Xero and MYOB, with experience in cloud-based accounting systems

Experience in preparing BAS/IAS/GST returns and managing tax compliance obligations

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field required

Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident with full working rights in Australia
